Introductions - The Cats (and SS)

Catriona: (written by Kathryn)

Catriona is 33 years old, born and raised in Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. She later moved to Victoria, BC to pursue her education and later worked in the field of communications and event planning.  She is currently working on her Masters in Communication specializing in Intercultural/International communication at Royal Roads University. Achievements aside, Catriona is known for her rich sense of humour, funny quirks, and her vocal love of her cat. In India, Catriona admitted, that she pretended her cat was cuddled into her as she slept (crazy cat lady?) Catriona will most likely be found napping in a warm cozy bed after eating her favorite mixture of food. This mixture of food usually consists of a variety of flavours and textures that Catriona will happily eat, with a big smile on her face. She also has a strange fondness for cashews.

Kathryn: (written by Catriona)

Kathryn, a 27 year old from Victoria, BC, is known as someone who is always ready to snuggle down with a cup of tea and talk about the day. She loves new experiences and is ready to jump full board into what life brings her (unless it is something ‘extremely’ dangerous, like riding on a scooter that goes past 20 miles an hr.) A very sensitive soul, who sometimes takes on the problems of the world, she is always the one to pick out the positive in a situation and many depend on her glowing, reassuring smile to make it through a tough situation (but don’t let her sensitive persona fool you though, she can be as sarcastic and cynical as they come;) She currently heads a non-profit organization: Nicaragua school project. Her organization provides essential school supplies and educational support to children and communities in need. She is currently working on her MA in Communication specializing in Intercultural/International communication at Royal Roads University.

The Stinky Stranger
We are not sure if our senses are overly ‘sensitive’ having just returned from India, but SS needed a bath and a serious dose of strong essential oils before any rickshaw driver would be picking him up. SS had many thought provoking questions, so we graciously took out our scarves and lemongrass oil and explained that we may have caught something on the plane back from India; so for his safety, we would have our nose and mouth covered while we chatted--a trick we learned back in India;)
